Why the price difference?

$205 vs $379

The difference in membership fees is due to a one-time compulsory uniform pack included for first-time members. This pack ensures all new members are fully equipped with official club gear for training and competition.

What uniform is included?

2x race singlets

1x club polo

1x training T

This uniform bundle is only charged once when you first sign up. Returning members are not required to purchase it again, which is why their fee is lower ($205).

Membership fees help cover essential operational costs such as:

  • Insurance policies

  • Equipment maintenance

  • Registrations

  • Council fees

  • RIB (safety boat) servicing

  • Annual compound lease

  • etc.

Additional fees to be aware of

These are not included in the membership fee:

DBQ Insurance (Required by Dragon Boat Queensland):

  • Under 24s: $82

  • 24 and over: $107
    Covers injuries sustained at training or regattas.

Regatta Entry Fees:

  • Local Regattas: $20–$25

  • State Championships: $80

  • National Championships: $150
    Note: States and Nationals are partially subsidized through club fundraising.

  • All club staff are volunteers; no financial compensation is received.

  • No refunds are offered once membership is paid.

DBQ insurance fee:
 

DBQ = Dragon Boat Queensland - Our states governing body.

DBQ insurance fee is an annual subscription-based cost that covers you for insurance when attending trainings and regatta events.

 

These fees are payable directly to DBQ which we can provide a link upon registration. 

It's important to note that you MUST pay both the club and DBQ fee to be considered a member of Coomera Dragons Australia.

Come and try info:

First 4 sessions are free.

After your 4th session you'll be offered a membership.

If you would like a few extra sessions before you decide to join then a casual fee of $15.00 per session applies.
